Citizens Police Academy
The Falls Township Police department will be conducting a 14 week Citizens Police Academy for Township residents beginning Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Falls Township Municipal building. Classes will be held Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Applications can be obtained at the Falls Township Police department Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or online at the Falls Township Police department website. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Deadline for applications is September 11, 2017.
This program is designed to educate residents about their Police department. We will start with an overview of the agency, continuing with the following topics. Crime scene investigation, use of force, practical traffic stops, practical police scenarios, shoot don't shoot, K-9 demo, narcotics, police range, district court and the Diane Corado investigation. We will graduate in front of the Board of Supervisors on December 19, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
