Supervisors Lessen Burden on Pennsbury School District
The Falls Township Board of Supervisors, in an effort to alleviate some of the financial strain to the Pennsbury School District and its taxpayers, voted unanimously to reimburse the district $40,832 in permitting fees paid for construction projects.
“We’re going to do what we can,” Supervisor Chairman Bob Harvie said of the 100 percent reimbursement.
Every little bit helps, particularly as the state budget crisis in Harrisburg continues and Pennsbury School District moves forward with school renovation projects.
“I’m glad to help out,” Supervisor Jeffrey Rocco said. “This is important to our community.”
Pennsbury School District Superintendent Kevin McHugh thanked the board for its support during his 20 years with the district.
“We’ve enjoyed an absolutely tremendous relationship with the township,” McHugh said. “Thank you very much for being very progressive thinkers.”
