Falls Burger King to Expand

The Burger King in Falls Township will not only be remodeled this spring, the finished building will be larger and will include an indoor play area for kids.

The 3,200-square-foot fast food restaurant, which is located at 8575 New Falls Road, will close sometime in April for demolition. A 3,900-square-foot eatery will be built in its place within 100 days, a Burger King representative told the Falls Township Supervisors prior to the board granting unanimous approval of the company’s amended final land development plan.

Burger King is still seeking a user for an adjacent 1,800-square-foot café. In the meantime, while the search continues, Burger King wanted to move forward on its new, expanded restaurant, company officials told the Supervisors.

In addition to a larger and more aesthetically pleasing fast food restaurant, the upgrades will correct the internal circulation pattern and reduce the number of driveways, ultimately converting the property to a single drive, officials said previously.

Following the upgrades, the primary entrance will be on Hood Boulevard with a secondary entrance on New Falls Road.
