NOTICE FALLS TOWNSHIP Bucks County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, in the public meeting room of the Falls Township Municipal Building, 188 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, the Board of Supervisors of Falls Township, Bucks County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (the "Township"), will convene a special meeting at which it will consider the enactment of an Ordinance (the "Ordinance") establishing Part II, Chapter 199 of the Township's Code, "Tree Protection Standards," to establish protection and preservation standards for existing trees. The Ordinance to be considered and acted upon is the following: An Ordinance of the Township of Falls, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Amending the Code of the Township of Falls to Establish Chapter 199, 'Tree Protection Standards,' Repealing Inconsistent Ordinances Or Parts of Ordinances; Containing a Savings Clause and Providing for An Effective Date The proposed Ordinance to be considered and acted upon on December 4, 2018 has been drafted for the health, welfare and safety of the residents of Falls Township. Section 1 establishes protection and preservation standards for existing trees, not limited to street trees regulated by Chapter 191, prohibits clear cutting, contains replacement provisions, sets limits of disturbance, and requires submission of a tree survey plan for any application for an earth disturbance permit, demolition permit, building permit, subdivision, land development or zoning change application, with some exceptions, with such tree survey plan being subject to review and approval of the Shade Tree Commission, and provides for enforcement remedies and penalties for violations. Section 2 repeals all inconsistent ordinances. Section 3 contains a severability clause. Section 4 sets an effective date. Additional amendments may be made with respect to the Ordinance prior to or during its final enactment. Advertisement related to the final enactment of the Ordinance, in final form, including amendments, will be made in accordance with the requirements of the Second Class Township Code. The full text of the proposed Ordinance summarized above may be examined or inspected by any citizen at the Office of the Manager of Falls Township located at 188 Lincoln Highway, Suite 100, Fairless Hills, PA 19030, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.; at the Levittown Regional Library located at 7311 New Falls Road, Levittown, PA 19055, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.; Friday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and Saturday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; at the Fallsington Local Library located at 139 Yardley Avenue, Fallsington, PA 19054, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; Friday between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and Saturday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.; at the Bucks County Law Library located at 55 E.
