Falls Township is seeking volunteers to serve on the following advisory bodies. The level of involvement varies, with some bodies meeting on an as-needed basis, while others play a larger or more active role.
Serving on boards, commissions, committees and councils is a great way for residents to stay updated about the topics of greatest interest. Volunteers can take pride in helping to shape their community now and into the future.
Here’s an overview of the various board openings:
Board of Appeals
- The three-member board meets on an as-needed basis.
- The board has one vacancy for a three-year term.
Cable Advisory Board
- The five-member board meets quarterly on a special schedule at 8 p.m.
- The board has three vacancies for three-year terms.
Disabled Persons Advisory Board
- The five-member board meets the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.
- The board has one vacancy for a four-year term.
Historic Architectural Review Board
- The five-member board meets on an as-needed basis.
- The board has one five-year vacancy for a registered qualified building contractor.
Historic Preservation Commission
- The five-member commission meets on a special schedule.
- The commission has three vacancies for five-year terms.
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
- The seven-member board meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
- The board has one vacancy for a five-year term.
Planning Commission
- The five-member commission meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
- The commission has three vacancies for alternate members for four-year terms.
Police Pension Committee
- The five-member Committee meets on an as-needed basis.
- The committee has one vacancy for a one-year term.
Zoning Hearing Board
- The five-member board meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
- The board has three vacancies for alternate members for three-year terms.
