Parks and Recreation is now hiring for the following positions:
Summer Camp Counselors. Must be at least 15 years of age and be available to work all six (6) weeks of camp (Monday June 20-Friday July 29). Hours of camp are Monday-Friday 9am-4pm. Additional hours available for before and after care as well. Prior experience working in a camp setting or with children is helpful, but not required.
Lifeguards for Pinewood Pool. Must be at least 15 years of age and have a current Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid Certification. Must be available weekdays and weekends. Pool opens Saturday May 28th and operates until Monday September 5th (Labor Day). Starting pay rate is $11.00/hr. Pay rate is negotiable for those with prior experience.
Front Desk Attendants for Pinewood Pool. Must be at least 14 years of age and available weekdays and weekends. Must be comfortable working with the public and using a computer. Proficient mathematical skills are desired as well.
Park Security. We are looking for someone at least 18 years of age to work a year round, part time position in our park system. In this role, one is responsible for assisting park patrons (answer questions, coordinate pavilion rentals, resolve complaints, etc.), report any security or maintenance issues found within the parks to the Parks and Recreation Director, assist the Parks and Recreation Director with special events, etc. Starting pay rate is $12.00/hr.
**All positions require the successful completion of all necessary background checks (PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, FBI), passing a physical and drug test, and any other trainings required for certain positions.**
