Pennsbury’s Falcon Field stadium came a step closer to completion Tuesday night when the Falls Township Supervisors approved a resolution related to sewer facilities for the long-awaited project.

Pennsbury School District’s engineer told the Supervisors that Tuesday’s approval of the township’s Act 537 Sewage Facilities Plan “sets the stage for the last phase of the stadium to be completed.”

Plans call for team rooms and restrooms to be completed at the stadium this summer, following an anticipated July delivery of pre-fabricated buildings. Officials expect the work to be completed in time for Pennsbury’s first home football game of 2024.

Other upgrades include an eight-lane synthetic track, an artificial turf field and the installation of LED stadium lights.

In other business, the Supervisors accepted a stipulation to settle a real estate appeal at 8 East M-Y Lane, which will result in a $740,000 increase in assessment. The agreement is effective as of Jan. 1, 2023 and increases the property assessment to $803,000 for 2023, up from $64,080. Effective Jan. 1, 2024, the assessment increases to $804,000 – an overall $740,000 increase. According to the agreement, property taxes will continue to be based on the property’s fair market value of $12 million, yielding $7,211.88 in property taxes for 2024.
